Flavie Lowres holds a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Birmingham. 

She joined BRE in 2003, working on sustainability in the built environment with a particular focus on life cycle assessment, Environmental Product Declarations and the circular economy. Over the years, she has delivered and verified numerous EPDs. 

Flavie is also a Sustainability Champion for FIS, a trade association for the fit-out sector, where she works to accelerate the transition towards sustainability through collaboration. In 2026, she joined Recolight to support the delivery of EPDs for the lighting, electronic and construction product sectors using the One Click LCA tool. 

She is a Fellow of IOM3 and Chair of its Construction Products Board.
