J&G Coughtrie has been making trusted, timeless and enduring lighting in Glasgow since 1939.

Drawing on more than 85 years of British manufacturing heritage, the company creates distinctive architectural lighting for heritage properties, hospitality, commercial interiors and conservation projects.

Our collections combine enduring materials, robust construction and original Coughtrie design DNA with modern lighting technology. Alongside new luminaires, J&G Coughtrie also works with architects, designers and conservation specialists to restore, refurbish and retrofit historic lighting through our dedicated J&G Coughtrie Restoration service.

Lighting designed to last, made with purpose, and built for another generation.
